I let my M17xR1 sit the past few months. When I went to boot it up a few days ago it wouldn't boot. I broke out the power cord and let it sit on that for a while figuring the battery was dead. I've since gotten it to boot with the powercord plugged in and now it no longer detects the (dead) battery. I've removed the battery and blown compressed air into the compartment. There doesn't appear to be an obvious damage to the area. Are there any simple tests I can perform to see if it's the battery or another component?

The laptop was a bit dusty. Figured it couldn't hurt. I'll try the CPUID thing when I get home. I've never noticed the battery wear level thing on it before.
