    Unknown PCI Device

    I have an alienware m17x r3 and I see this in my device manager:

    I believe it has to do with drivers but I am not sure what to download.

    The Image is in my recent media folder thing Idk why the link doesnt work

    Could be the HDD Accelerometer? This shows as unknown until you install the driver.

    Visit the device manager, go to properties of the unknown device and in the drop down will give you the hardware id, copy this and then Google the code to tell which device it is. It may very well be the hard drive drop sensor which if you have an ssd installed may report as unknown ( in my experience ). Hope this helps.
