Alright, so from what i know you can either boot up using Intel HD or the Radeon, but not both and switch activly, Thats not an issue for me but i first got 2 hours of wow on my m17x with the Radeon and that was a week ago, When i first got, now its only an hour.

Sometimes the USb ports go a little funky, If i pull my wireless headset out, it disconnects my flash drive, iPod, and external HDd, They all reconnect a second later, The same happens when i disconnect any other high draw device.

I installed AFterburner (IT won't let me see Driver version) But it shows my 6990m is rapidly switching between 100-300-700 Core is that normal? My desktops Gtx 460's didn't do that.

and lastly How does one overclock beyond 715 because i can't find a program to oc further, along with how do i turn off the above feature for amd cards, Since it kinda makes world of warcraft get iffy with me.

And lastly after updating the driver my Windows Aero won't go glassy again it looks icky

    specs
    750GB
    8GB 1333
    2630Qm
    6990m 2gb.

Other then those im having no real problem with this beast.

    try using trixx to oc.
its normal for the gpu to switch between clocks depending on loads.
as for the usb problem, i don't think its normal, try reinstalling the usb drivers.

the GPU downclock itself if it's not being used or does not require high usage to save power.

Are you talking about gaming on battery?
If so then it's normal for your GPU to downclock itself.

Gaming on battery thats normal yes, but what i was refering to there is the maximum battery time seems to be diminishing it lasted 1 hour 55 minutes the first time, now im only getting an hour 20 or lower

I've put my ocz agility 3 60Gb in, INtel RST says the drives running at sata 6g however when i run HDtune i get a max of 150mb/sec, All the random tests are correct but the sustained... is that normal too?

    First SSD ive ever had...

Battery life, espeically using the AMD GPU, will depend almost entirely on the GPU load which can vary greatly depending on what you are doing. Like, if you alt-tab out of a game or anything like that it will likely drop to the minimum clock rate and 0% load.

I'm actually surprised that you were able to play WoW on the battery using the 6990M for that long. This machine is not really meant to game on battery power, so count yourself lucky for whatever you can get.

Usualy when i run wow, My 6990m downclocks to 400 and i tend to run throttlestop aswell, and forcefully downclock CPU if i must run wow on battery Though at the time i did not.

Still trying to figure out how to fix the lack of Aero after updating to 11.8
