Currently my 17x R1 is still running BIO A02 i ve try to update the with downloaded BIO on the CD and nothing happen. and i ve select the cd drive at the start up (F12)

I have read in some of the thread that you need to set SATA Operation to RAID is that necessary? When change it to RAID it just say "No operating system found"

Hmmss odd. I installed the new BIOS A05 the other day. It all went well.

All you need to do is download the iso file from dell and then burn it onto a cd or dvd. Then restart and boot from the cd or dvd like you did using F12. It should then load the bios update program.

    Hmmmsssssssss try again maybe?
The sata RAID options are for people who are running a RAID setup. So after you install the new BIOS you have to re enable the RAID setup before you can load up the OS again otherwise it will boot telling you there is no Operating System found. Cheers.

You should be able to select the CD Rom to boot from from the F12 unction at boot up

Or go into the BIOS and set the boot priority to look at the CD ROM first.
