So im having problems installing the Rage performance driver from ATI. Im unistalling old drivers using the ATI install/unistall manager, restarting, then proceeding to install new drivers.

At this point everything seems fine. When i go to CCC, i check the driver version and its says "Dell" ? So, i uninstall agioan, restart, go to update the drivers and the installer freezes.....it wont do a thing and hjust sits there saying "installing Catalyst control centre" So i cancel it, it does nothing, so i "ctrl, Alt and Del" start a task manager and close the program. Run unistall manager again, its not there, try to reinstall and now the driver update keeps getting an error and forces me to abort.

Please help, im "this" close to snapping the screen of this thing.......

I tried to load rage (1st time) and got a "Rage.exe is not working windows will close blah blah blah"

So i opened CCC to check the driver ref and its says Dell!!!! So i was like , redownloaded it, wiped the old drivers and reinstalled. Only this time, the installer froze. Closed it, tried again and now the installer wont work at all. keep getting errors.

Now, my comp says theres no drivers but i can play all my other files.

    Ok this worked for me.

Uninstall all ATI drivers with AMD catalyst install manager in programs>Programs and features.

In AMD catalyst install manager select Uninstall>Express uninstall.

    Uninstall everything!!!!

Next go to My Computer>system properties> Device manager> Display Adaptors. Double click your GPU, go to drivers and select Uninstall.

    Once unistalled restart.

Once restarted, install Dell ATI drivers from Dell Drivers and downloads. Restart. then install 11.10 drivers over the top.

This worked a charm for me. before i couldnt even boot the game. Right now it runs smooth as and looks great. no choppiness, crashing texture bugs etc.

    Hope this helps.

Ermm...what i did was just install the latest 11.10 fix over the AMD 11.9 drivers without uninstalling anything, which was recommended by some forum members.Installation went smoothly & was over in less than a minute. Now enjoying RAGE in nearly constant 50-60fps.Maybe i am one of the lucky ones? :p

I tried to install the 11.10 preview 2 drivers just now, but I got a blue screen...

Do I need to install the Dell 11.9 drivers and then the 11.10 preview 2 ones? And if that is correct, when installing the 11.10 preview 2 drivers do I not install certain things, like CCC, or do I just install everything that comes with it?

I got the 11.10 v2 drivers installed successfully, but I still can't get Java to work... Oh well, guess I have to choose between RAGE and Minecraft. :/
