    Hey guys,

    Last question I promise.

I have about 300 bucks to blow on my computer, and to tell you the specs of it so far,

    8GB of ddr3 1333mhz ram
    720qm CPU
    7970M video card
    500GB 7200rpm HDD

So I am about to put this thing back together, and as stated in a past post I will be recording it and puting it up on youtube for others to view. Now I dont know were to go with this, since both are going to cost me about the same amount of cash. I was going to get the 920xm or 840qm.... Or I was going to get a second 7970m card and cross fire that sucker.

You all here are awesome with this stuff, and I have learned a lot from you all, so my last request would be to know what you think will be better for me to play games.

I play mostly Wildstar, Wow, CS GO, and maybe a little bit of BF4, and posibly some other FPS later on.

I do a lot of recording and video editing for my youtube channel, even though its not that big of a channel. I enjoy it, its a hobby.

    Opinions??????

Since you don't play the latest and greatest game titles I would assume you are ok with the 7970m and the 720qm.

However if you want to be covered for the next year or so, I would use that cash on a good SSD and 920xm if you personally want to blow that cash.

Enjoy and look forward to your video guide :)

no, only alienware m17 r2 has 2 slots for gpu...the new r5 only 1 slot. So you can only have 1 gpu

Well, its not the latest and greatest CPU but its not really slow either. The 920xm would be a lot better to me boosting my turbo to 3.2Ghz,so that will be my next biggest thing as others stated. Unfortunately I cant just throw the latest cpu in there. the socket doesn't fit :-( .

You can do far better than that if you use throttle stop. Better still if you overvolt. I run 4ghz 1-2 cores and 3.7ghz 3-4 cores. Not a slouch really. The m17x r2 has capacity for even better cooling than the m15x. I have modded my cooling though.

You can still expect 3.3ghz across all cores and 3.6ghz on 1 or 2 cores. No voltmod
