IntelĀ® Ultimate N WiFi Link 6300 was to be on my order and I thought it was but now after 12 days of being "In Production" So now I wanna do the upgrade my self. I know the M17x R3 has all 3 of the antennas in the case even if you get the basic one like i will have.

Where do I go about buying the 6300 so I can do it my self?

    newegg has it for 35.99

I'm thinking about going this route also for the wifi card. I saw some teardown videos that show its pretty easy to swap out.

I just ordered one. I figured it was an easy enough upgrade that I could save myself some loot and get another game. :) Now the SSD I'm scared of doing.

Is the R3 disassembled like the R1 and R2? If so, then its pretty easy.
Take out the battery, remove three screws and then slide the touchpad area towards you slightly and then lift it up and fold it back.
Watch for the touchpad ribbon cable.
The the wifi card just clips out.
