    Hello,
So about 2 months ago i got myself a new gpu (nvidia gtx 870m) upgrade on alieware m17 r3 from nvidia 560m. After some struggles with the drivers (to which solution i found on this forum from one smart guy who advised to change few digits in the driver inf file) the card was working perfectly fine.
However about a week ago i decided to reinstall my windows and here is where troubles started. Whenever the windows is finalising the installation the screen turns into random colour (usually white but sometimes its random like pink, green or blue) and does not display anything. I dont have any drivers installed yet the system straight away does not accept the card. It makes not much sense to me and i would be grateful for any type of help. Not sure if the problem lies in bios version or that im trying to install windows of the cd provided by alienware (maybe it could be coded to use 560m somehow, somewhere and wont accept other cards, not sure).
The windows that i was using with the card was not genuine and thats why I decided to reinstall it. Dont know if i can provide any more useful info but i ll be really grateful for any type of assistance.
