Hi all. I decided to upgrade my old Alienware from R1 to R2 revision. According to the instructions from this site, I bought R2 motherboard, R2 southboard and heatsink. Also for test I bought Core i3-370.
Today I decided to assemble these all. I used LCD, cables, graphics card and RAM from old configuration.
It startups normally, all LEDs light on, but doesn't show any image on LCD or VGA. It reacts to turn off on the second press and CPU\VGA\chipset heated but no POST beeps or Caps once blinks.
And if I disconnect LCD cables then Scroll and Num permanently blinking so I think motherboard and CPU is ok.

    So... what can help me?
P.S. sorry for bad english, I don't speak on it.
    Thanks.

The R2 had an upgraded LCD screen from the R1 version, which may be the root of your display problem. You will probably need to acquire an appropriate R2 LCD screen to go along with the new R2 motherboard. Be sure you buy from someone with a good return policy in case this does not solve your issue. Good luck!

Those are some pretty intense instructions, did you modify the bios like it said to and change the bit width for the lvds?

Lol, problem solved. CPU was dead.
And I approve that R1 LCD works fine with R2 board.
    Thanks all, guys.
