    Hey People,

I am new to this forum, so please correct me if I accidentaly break a rule :)

Long story short; I would like to upgrade my M17x R1 (non-i7 quadcore, dual gtx 260m in SLI etc...) with a gtx 680m and I was wondering if it is possible. I have read countless threads and posts in several forums but I haven`t found a clear answer yet. I wanted to buy the card from Eurocom and they said that it is compatible, but I wanted to hear your opinions as well.

    Thanks in advance!

I think the best card R1 can take without major hassles is CF 5870M. I think people have tried 580M, 670M without success.

According to engineering it is not oficially supported and as Tsunade-Sama says, I haven't seen any success story with any card above the 5870m

Thanks for the replies guys. I am considering the CF 5870M as you suggested. Would those preform significantly better than my current setup? Unfortunately I am a noob when it comes to ATI cards...
