I don't really have the money to buy a new R3. I'd like to upgrade the GPU and maybe CPU of my R1 instead. Are there any tutorials on how to do this?

read the service manual for disassembly.

    Alienware : Documentation en ligne

There is also Video''s on youtube of the disassembly.

The GPU are pretty easy to install. The Cpu might take some work to get to. lol

^ that and search for 'M17x teardown' on Y.tube, there should be 2 official parts on how to disassemble.
JUST GO SLOWLY AND PAY ATTENTION.
