    Hi people!
    I have a problem , the thing is that my cousin bought a printer so he wanted to install drivers and those thing in my alienware lap , so.... when he puts the cd the cd doesnt enter so he pushed :S , and it get there and my lap gets freezed , so I said why? well I tried to take it out and I did and y re start my lap and I saw that another cd was there before , so we put two cds :S , and now when I turn my laptop on it sounds like trrrr so i dont know :( when I put a cd or when I take it out it sounds , is not a very loud sound but I am worried , What did I do? :/ maybe it always sounds but really I dont remember how is the sound when i take or put a cd so , can anyone tell me what is going on? :/ My lap is good dont have problems but that sounds is killing me , what did my cousin touch with the cd :/ pleeeeeease!

    Take cd out, might have to disassemble laptop to get to cd drive and pull it out. 'carboard trick' might be able to get the cd out (used on macbooks sometimes).

    I take it out , but the sound is why I am worry :( , sounds like trrrr

    The drive needs to be replaced. I have had this problem before.

    Do you have Accidental Damage coverage? This may fall under that.

    You should call ALIENWARE Technical Support - not DELL. Ask them if they can send you a new optical drive.

    No i dont have that guarantee, well the sound just happen when I turn it on , when put a cd , I think is normal? IDK , can anyone introduce a cd and see if sounds like it is loading it? -_-

    If it sounds something like this, it's normal. The ODD basically engages when you turn the system on.

    Oh then this is perfectly normal :). But if you have a mechanical awful noise when loading a disk then there is a problem.
