Hi there, title says it all. Don't ask why. Just trying some new stuff out. Anyway, It looks like i have lost all fan control on my GPU besides the manual ones I get through HWinfo. Is there any way around this?

I havent flashed any vBIOSes by the way. Wondering if that would help at all

Okay it looks like I can't even switch to the 5870m on this notebook. Any idea as to why this might be happening?

I'm not sure your going to get much help since no one would want to do this. Or has. Not saying yu can't do it just saying no one probably has bothered to.

I would doubt you'll ever get this working - as hackintosh has pointed out noone will likely want to downgrade there system. Because it is an older card the BIOS probably doesnt know what to do with it, it'll be looking for a certain set of parameters from the card to operate the fans - if the old card is not supplying those then it will never work.
