    Hi guys....
just wanted to know if you use or know about any overclocking and or a desktop monitoring utility that works with the Mx17R3

reason is i like to be able to tune or atleast view the parameters in Windows

inorder to view the Voltages/FSB/ and stuff on my desktop, i was using Everest that worked well with my Penryn DV5T but the new SB in M17XR3 ....doesnt show more than 4 basic temps

    so any ideas
have tried intel's overclocking utility (apparently not made for the SB)
tried NVIDIA's OC utility (doesnt work)
decided an OEM's OC utility might work (ASUS's does nt work)

If you look in this forum and do a search for overclocking, you will see that there is someone explaining on how you can overclock your CPU and GPU in the R3. Anyway here is the link for you http://forum.notebookreview.com/alienware-m17x/560044-m17x-r3-overclocking-sort.html

Always try to do a search through google search engine and mentioned in your 'words' notebookreview.com example: 'notebookreview.com overclock m17x R3'. Hope this helped...

my mistake...i am not as much into the art of overclocking as i am into the app for it, you see i like to be able to constantly view vital stats of the machine..AND MAYBE have the capability to change some parameter on the fly..... for all my searches i have used utilities like NVIDIA's (within their NFORCE range and the INTEL 865's 965's mobo.....) i like a utility that is on the taskbar and viewing all stats in real time
