    Hey guys

Lately I have noticed that my framerate behave strange after playing games for a few minutes. The same thing happen in every game I play, old and new ones.

The framerate dips with about 10fps and then goes back up again in intervals of a second or two, like a wave. This is really annoying because it makes it hard and unpredictable to aim and move and it occasionally gets me fragged :(

And the gpu fan have lately begun to run crazy even when not under load, i have had to switch to integrated graphics some times when i am just working on text documents and photoshopping and such, so the fan noise wont drive me insane.

I have been using the 197.16 driver from nvidia

    Please help :(

    Cheers

What are your CPU/GPU temps? probably your hemal paste needs to be changed. you can check your temps with hwinfo32 or cpuid hwmonitor.

    Cpu: between 45-52C regardless

Gpu: 60C in desktop - 105C in game.

105 in game is high. The chip can withstand the heat but the performance will most probably suffer. Repaste and general cleaning of the fins on your dissy can solve the issue. (imho)
