    Hi,

I'd like some advice on the best way to reinstall the 7970 and Intel Video drivers after a fresh Win 7 install on an R4.

I've checked the Win 7 installation thread, but am still a bit confused as to the best way.

    Thanks

    Corius

Thanks for that, but I was really wanting to know about the install order. Does it matter which display driver is installed first?

Probably the Intergrated graphics since the system SHOULD be defaulting to that first, and the discrete graphics card second.

For nVidia drivers you have to install the Intel one first. Without the Intel drivers installed the nVidia drivers won't install. Not sure about the ATI drivers but I suspect they're the same.

With the ATI drivers you need to install the dell stock drivers off the support page first which include the intel drivers in the installation as well. Once you get that installed, you can install the latest standard AMD drivers over top without a problem.

The Dell site has two install packages, one for the 7970 and one for the Ivy Bridge HD graphics.

Do I install both, with the Ivy Bridge being first?

When I installed my 7970M, I didn't install the stock Dell drivers. I just installed the beta drivers that were available at the time. Not sure if having to install the stock Dell drivers is necessary or not.

Edit: Just realized you have an R4. I believe for the R4s you do need to install the stock Dell drivers first.
