Without it displaying 1920x1080? The problem is that the mode itself on the TV detects that it's a PC, and people are able to bypass it somehow through their PC through the settings to output to just a full 1080p signal, and not set resolutions. This is through HDMI that I'm using it with. The problem is Vizio updated their TV's, now none of them are working (all 3 vizio 3dtv's in the house) when I go to play a game in 3D. I have a passive TV, and 3D mode is not highlighting when it detects regular resolutions now. On an xbox or game system when you boot it up it'll display a full 1080p signal or even 720p and not resolutions and it'll work. That's my problem.

Which model m17x are you using? Have you ever been able to use that machine to output Full-HD 3D?

For example, the HDMI slot on the m17x-R2 lacks the required bandwidth for Full-HD 3D or 120Hz applications. Try through Display-port.

hdmi does not have enough bandwidth to output active 3d at 120hz at 1080p
it can do max 24hz at 1080p

use display port for 3d 1080p external display

I always thought that was the restriction with 3D TV (24hz@1080) but when I tried crysis 3 using the in-game 3DTV driver I got 60hz@ 1080 over HDMI

Guess it's possible just the converters use the 'standard' refresh rates...

That's the thing, it was working just fine. With my 3D SBS movies and games. Not sure if it was at 120hz, but very watchable/playable. When my TV updated (and people are finding the workaround by putting their computer through a set 1080p mode and not set resolution), it's not displaying in a 1980x1080 mode and it's not saying "1080p" anymore after my TV's update.

I know it's the TV's problem and not the computer, but I guess there's a way to force it to recognize it as a full signal instead of a set resolution. This is also a PASSIVE 120hz tv, not active.

I'm using an m17x R4, worked just fine a few weeks ago. This is the first time it's done this, right after the Vizio TV update. Worked just fine before, like I said. Also even if the movie's in 1080p on VLC, it still worked. Regardless if it outputs 720p, I just need an actual "720p signal such as from a blu ray player and Xbox/PS3, and not a resolution like "1920x1080".
