Guys I have been facing this issue for a while now and i mentioned this on some thread. Okey I am using 10.12 ati driver. its working better than any previous versions for the games I am playing currently.. but the issue is when i play any wmv files via windows media player it flickers for like 15-20 seconds and then BSOD. if i use vlc there is no problem.. also when i run WEI, and when the windows media encoding/decoding test runs, the whole screen flashes and flickers. and I should also mention that 10.9 ( aka dell driver 8.76) has no issue with wmv playback (both in WMP or WEI). Joker had asked me to uninstall WMV hardware acceleration driver from the 10.12 but that din solve it. I Have uninstalled everything and reinstalled 10.12 without wmv driver but still the issue hasnt been resolved.. any help??

reinstall windows? If you've tinkered with the WMF (windows media foundation) with any pointless codec packs or even the haali splitter (instead of gabest), then there could be issues...

But I guess, also check to see if your HD5870m VBIOS is the most recent one.

when installed the 10.12, it was the mobility variant, or the desktop variant? (I've run out of ideas, at this point :().
