Does anyone know who I could contact to see what is going on about my service call?

I was told a tech would come out the next day, or the following word day the latest to repair my M17x R3. It's been over a week and the status still says "waiting for parts".

When I called tech support the guy was useless and said that they should be coming in in a day or 2. not to worry. that was like 3 days ago.

So does anyone know who I could contact to get a real explanation on what the hold up is, and a real date as to when they will be sent to the tech?

I went through that recently waiting for a new LCD/screen. The thing you learn is that the tech people don't know, and apparently can't get reliable info about, when the parts are going to arrive until they get to the warehouse/dispatch point. It took over two weeks for the parts to arrive and be replaced in my situation.

Call Alienware, and ask them. 1-800-Alienware. If you speak Spanish, you are golden, but if you only speak English, you will still be ok. :D

I am waiting on my 580m, I keep calling them every few days just to let them know I am still waiting.

Isn't 1-800-Alienware the same number that gets you to the techs who don't seem to know much?

edit: if that number is the only option, i think it's better for me to just try to forget about it and wait. I just get more frustrated talking to people who don't know and make stuff up lol (i mean the people on the phone ;p )

Try checking if your information on the Dell site is correct. My name is Chris(in one of its many variations), and every time I got an email for a service call, they kept saying I was Jim Saling of Oregon with my number being some 629 area code...when I live in California o_O
