    Warranty Service Call

    Just had my first in house service call in which the guy replaced both 5870s, the fan on the left GPU (dell had right one on shipping label but didn't send it in box), CPU Heatsink & Fan.

    He actually knew how to take the laptop apart and replace the above parts without tweaking or breaking anything, was a pretty good experience overall and my laptops 3dMark06 score is back up to 19.5k. I was getting anywhere from 5000 - 12000 prior to him replacing the stuff he did...

    Now my concerns...

    CPU temps look ok hitting 79C Max on the cores during a run of 3dmark06.. They were hitting close to 100 prior to him replacing the HS and Fan.

    GPUs on the other hand primary hit 107C and secondary hit 92C.... Definitely something to be concerned about, should I call Dell back or go ahead and open it myself and just reTIM my GPU cores with some MX-4....

    Reran them again twice to double check and actually think everything is ok now...

    76C Max on primary GPU and 73C on Secondary

    No idea why the first time showed 107C and 92C
