I was able to get a 3 year NBD onsite extension on my M11xR2 for $329 and a $75 Gift Card last month so like everything it depends on who you talk too and how much they want to deal.

    Good Luck

You have to approach the conversation like any other negotiation. First you need to figure out what is your price you are willing to pay. Second start way under that and hope you meet in the middle somewhere. Be persistent about how you can only really afford X or say you really feel the price you are offering is not worth it. Keep at it and if the person you talk to doesn't deal, try another rep.

    Good Luck :)

I was told by a Dell rep that warranty extentions must happen 30 days prior to warranty expiration. Might be BS but it might be a way they make sure they are not getting ripped off.

If you made purchase with a credit card your coverage might be autmatically extended by CC by one more year. If somethign breaks they will give you $$ and take your laptop. Check with CC for terms.
