I am having some trouble with my laptops built in webcam. It does not seem to be working correctly and instead of a video/picture I am just receiving a lot of blue and red scan lines. I have not had this issue before. (See image)

I have tried reinstalling the drivers, restarting the computer, multiple different webcam programs, etc. and nothing seems to fix the problem. It was working up until earlier today when I manually shut off the webcam using FN+F9 and then when I tried to reenable it the camera was no longer producing a good image.

Probably an issue with the webcam. Call dell and get them to replace it for you, they might replace the screen....

It looks like it's hardware related.

I actually managed to solve the problem, for some reason Live! Central was forcing itself to be the camera authority and the settings were corrupted in it. I've never used it before so I'm not too sure why it just popped up now but after disabling it my issues were solved.

    Thank you for the suggestions.
