So, I finally have gotten the M17x R4 setup the way I want it: i7-3710, 16gb Cosair Vengeance 1600mhz ram, Crucial m4 Sata III and the AMD 7970 graphics. My WEI is reading 7.6, 7.8, 7.2, 7.2, 7.9. Why is everything that low? Wouldn't the graphics be higher then they are now? Everything is stock, there is no overclocking.

Not that WEI is a particularly useful benchmark or anything, but a laptop card isn't going to be nearly as powerful as the high end desktop GPUs that do score higher than 7.2.
-
Agreed on the fact that WEI isn't all that useful, but my 5870m scores 7.2 while my desktop GTX570 scores 7.9 and the 7970m is on par with a desktop 570 IIRC. Anyways, don't worry about it and check with a real benchmark like 3DMark or even better, actual games. In short don't trust WEI if you don't have more solid data to back it up.

You should score 7.6/7.8/7.9/7.9/7.9, based on other posts in these forums.
My guess: WEI is using your Intel 4000 integrated video card and not your Radeon 7970m. -
disable iGPU and you will get 7.9

Tsunade_Hime such bacon. wow
WEI is NOT a benchmark in any way, sense or form. You can run it 3 times and it will spit out 3 different results. If you want to make sure your card is working properly, run 3DMark 11 or any other REAL benchmarking software and compare it to reference cards.

Search before you post. Already discussed at length.

Fn+F7 to disable integrated card.
