Every few days, random lines appear on the lcd, which I can remove using a screen cleaner, but what are these lines?

They change color like normal water, but they are exactly one pixel wide.

They're vertical and only about 0.5-1cm tall

Dirt or oil on a key from the keyboard which rubs off onto the screen when you close your notebook's lid? That's the only thing I can think of.

Does the screen actually come in contact with the keyboard?

It is def from the keys touching the glass, mine does the same thing. It is highly annoying but i have learned to just carry around screen cleaner with me in the bag. I also carry mine around a lot in the Orion case so it may not be as bad if you just leave it set up all the time and just close the lid gently but with it moving a lot then it can be a problem.
