Every time I log onto SC2, about every 15 seconds, the screen scrolls up and then stops like a broken movie film. I'm really not sure what the problem is. Just got my system today! Also, I'm a complete noob when it comes to technical knowledge, so I'm not sure if my gfx card drivers are up to date.

Not completely sure about this, but with your system being brand new, I think it's got the new VBIOS and driver pre-installed. And I definitely remember this topic coming up somewhere else too, but the NBR search seems to be failing me. I realize this post is of no help to you at all, but someone will come along shortly that will help.

    Hey there chiefs,

Thats a really odd error for a brand spanking new system chiefs. Is it completely rolling scrolling up the whole screen? If so try disabling crossfire and run the game again. Also try other games using crossfire and see if it does the same thing. If so then it sounds like one of your GPUs is dead already.

I've read other posts with the same symptoms and they were caused by defective cards. Quite a few defective GPU problems lately. Hmmmmsssss....
Whats going on around here ey. Latest batch of 5870s bad or what? Hmmmsss buggers.

Try out the tests chiefs and if theres still some errors or weird screen completely rolling you'll have to ring dell and get replacement GPUs. Make sure you try it out with a few other games too to rule it out. So you have more info for dell. You could even let them gain control of your system and load up SC2 and have a look for themselves + other games or things that cause the same errors.

This really shouldn't be happening in a brand new system though.

    Good Luck!

    Cheers. :)

Fortunately it's just WoW and SC2 when they're on full screen mode. Windowed mode does the trick. I'm a tad disappointed though. With this system should I be able to run Crysis completely maxed out or not?

Ah phew thats good chiefs. Thought I was hearing another GPU hardware failure.

Yeh you should be able to run Crysis maxed out. Just need to make sure you have all the crysis patches installed and latest driver tweaks and stuff. Crysis however is still very buggy for most people. It is also a Nvidia geared game.

Crysis whats its name the one after it Crysis warhead I think it was called runs much better and is less buggier.

Just a question chiefs. Since you got your new system recently. I just wanted to find out what system bios did it come with? Also what GPU drivers and vbios did it come pre installed with? If you can take a screenshot of GPU-z and post it up that would be great. Thanks. :D

    Cheers. :)

I believe it's BIOS A09. As far as GPU drivers and VBIOS, I'm completely ignorant as to where to find that information. I have a lot to learn lol. I'll work on the ss.

System BIOS A09 cool cool. When did you order your system? 1st of October or something? When did it arrive?

    Download TechPowerUp GPU-Z v0.4.6 | techPowerUp

Theres a built in screenshot tool in GPU-z. The top right hand side of GPU-z has a small black camera looking thing. Click on that to take the screenshot.

    Cheers. :)
