So for the past 2 weeks, everytime I put my computer to sleep directly after playing world of warcraft (I normally Press the alienhead button about 15 seconds after exiting WoW)

I cannot reawaken the computer, before.... i would press the alienhead symbol and it would resume from sleep but everytime now I get 8 beeps and a black screen.

I know its an LCD failure code, but when i remove CMOS battery and replace, it starts up again fine.

Unfortunately, I no longer have my warranty ( Barely missed it:/ )

Any suggestions or comments please? its aggravating

    Specs 8gb, 460m gtx

EDIT: Checked my service tag, Next business day support ends 5/13/2013
Any idea how to go about this??!?!

15 seconds?! You shouldn't have to hold the power button down for that long to get it to go to sleep. Just close the lid and it should put itself to sleep (unless you modified the power plan options). Usually holding down the power button for that long will initiate a hard shutdown (that is, the system will completely cut power to shut off without going thru the normal shutdown procedures). Try closing the lid and seeing if the system puts itself to sleep that way. Then wait a few minutes and open it back up. See if it wakes by itself, it should...at least my R2 does. If it doesn't, then press the power button once and see if it resumes normally. You should not have to hold down the power button for ANY reason unless there is a serious problem and the system cannot shutdown on its own.

I press the button once 15 seconds after closing my program, I don't hold it for 15 seconds
