    Weird mark on the lid

    Is it just me, or is this normal ? The mark seems to be under the coating.

    No way! I have a mark very similar to that on my M17x on the more-angled part of the lid. Same color and everything.

    Recieved it like that with the mark on the lid. It's 4 days old. I'm thinking about returning the whole thing.

    I've been on phone with a tech trying to solve my problem with alienfx. It's not possible for some reason to right click the alienhead in the task bar to turn off all lights etc. There's no menu when i right click. I even tried reinstalling everything with the resource dvds. Fresh windows install with updated command center and still no luck :(

    Try it this way please, just one more shot so that you don't have to return the machine for that, it seems like a software glitch more than a hardware problem. Use the latest command center from DELL.com available for your system.

    Thank you for replying Luis. I've tried to follow the steps and did the uninstall.. Updated command center again, but still the problem persists.
