what is the Fastest SSD and i was looking the samsung 480 pro but is there any better than that? (and if u can list the ones with highest windows experience index score)

Ok i wanted to install the 5870 but i want a clear explanation on how to like do i flash the r2 bios or what? and do i need any cables or different heatsink/fan (i currently have 260m) and i flipped my m17x r1 upside down and on one side there was a fan (and in the middle) but the other side theres not does that mean i only have just the x1 260m? and can i add another if i buy heatsink/fan and cables?

ok i was looking to upgrade my wifi card to the killer wifi 1103 and will that work alright in it and stable? if i install drivers ?

All SSD's will give a score of 7.9.

What do you plan on doing that you need the fastest?

You're not going to notice a difference in speed for daily use like that. I think you would be better off buying a 830 256GB, as the bigger the drive the faster they perform.

You know you can actually edit the WEI scores...lol

All SSDs these days, you will hit your laptop's SATA 2 bottleneck, my new 512 GB Samsung 840 series is SATA 3 but I am handcuffed to my R2's SATA 2 limit.

well your only gonna be able to only use so much of that speed as SATA II isn't as fast as SATA III :(

both the crucial m4 and the vertex are both very solid drives as well as the Samsung one you mentioned earlier. You can't go wrong with any of them. It Comes down to who has the best prices per gig. ;)

Crucial M4 for the win! Not as fast as Vertex 4 or 840 but very reliable. Been using mine for almost a year now - rock solid and blazing fast.

The M4 has had it's host of issues, but Crucial (Micron) actually takes steps to quickly rectify the problems.

Please don't make more than 1 thread regarding upgrading your R1, there are just so few R1 owners compared to everyone else.

I personally avoid OCZ, and the M4 as I stated has had it's own host of issues. I haven't yet had any issues with my 512 GB Samsung 840.

Any Killer NIC will work, it is just the drivers you need to worry about. Dell doesn't whitelist WLAN.
