I have seen in some people's sig's that they have Kingston HyperX RAM, this intrigued me as my specs currently are:
    M17x R3 | i7 2720QM 2.2ghz | 1600x900 | 6gb 1333mhz | ATI 6990m | 720 HDD 7200rpm | Windows 7 HP x64 | Blu Ray | Killer WiFi

EDIT: Do not buy this RAM, it is for desktop, thanks ValkerieFire for pointing that out for me.

    I have found one on ebay, a set of 4 x 4gb = 16gb !!! of 1600mhz RAM.

    Specs:
    Memory Size; 4096MB (1 module(s) x 4)
    Memory Speed; 1600MHz
    Memory Type; DDR3
    Pin Configuration; 240 pins
    Bus I/O Configuration; Unbuffered
    Error Correction; Non ECC
    CAS Latency; CL9

"This module has been tested to run at DDR3-1600MHz at a low latency timing of 9-9-9-27 at 1.65V."

Would it work on my laptop, would it FIT in my laptop and would it be a worthwhile upgrade for only £90, or are there better options?

    Thanks guys.

    would it work? yes!

worthwhile upgrade? maybe. You won't notice any real world performance boost from 1333 to 1600mhz memory. 6gb is more than enough for gaming. But some people like more than that including myself :)

DO NOT BUY THAT RAM, it is for a desktop.

    You are looking for 204 pin laptop DDR3. Like this.... Newegg.com - Kingston HyperX 8GB (2 x 4GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Laptop Memory Model KHX1600C9S3K2/8GX

Anyhow, I wouldn't buy it anyway. Benchmarks and gaming data show RAM has pretty nothing to do with gaming performance, 1333 is fine and 8GB is pleanty of it. Read this...

AnandTech - Sandy Bridge Memory Scaling: Choosing the Best DDR3

Basically RAM speed will make no difference in your gaming expereince. Other applications may benifit, Star Craft 2 may benifit, but it is hardly worth the cost.

Money would be better spent on an SSD.

    I hope this helps.

On those basis', I shall save up my money for better things, like perhaps a 1080p screen or SSD then, (however I would need a large SSD :p) thanks so much guys!

yes, save and spend the $$ on a crucial or intel ssd as a primary drive.
