Title states it.
Exactly what can I expect going from my Toshiba Qosmio, in mah sig, to an M17x R2? (specs below)
17.3" RGB LED 1920x1200 Screen
Intel Core i7 920XM
8GB DDR3 1333
Radeon 2GB 6970M
128GB Kingston SSD
X6 BluRay / X8 DVD Player
The guy is going to include the second heatsink assembly if I want to Crossfire.Yes, I've read the thread talking about installing the 6970M.

like twice the performance
-
Really?
-
seriously.. especially when you pull off 7970m crossfirex, 4 times the performance
-
Can the 920XM keep up with that though?

More Preformance and Build Quality!
-
Just curious imglindinhere, is that the native screen resolution on your Qosimo? I don't think I've come across that one before...
At any rate it will be a nice screen upgrade. RGB @ 1200p is glorious. -
Yea, it will definately be a nice upgrade. I have some 5870's and 6990's for sale if you decide to upgrade or add Crossfire.
-
Don´t forget the keyboard lights blinking to the sound of music from Windows Media Player, my friends say its just a gimmick , but they really want to say - "I want it tooooo!"
-
Tsunade_Hime such bacon. wow
Yeah it isn't comparable. 6970M is still a top tier GPU, it should easily hands down beat a 460M, but they aren't even in the same class.
-
It's the X505-Q892
Kinda wish it was just 1680x1050 like my old Acer monitor was.I preferred the 16x10 monitors anyhow. They always looked so much prettier than the generic 16x9 layouts.
But yes, the 1680x945 is the default resolution. Definitely a little odd looking, I agree. But the strange resolution generally grabs people's attention.
What should I expect with this change? [Qosmio ---> M17x R2]
