I might give it a go with a new cpu.
This has been discussed over and over again.

Problem beeing, prize vs what u get.
Dont think i want a used one since they tend to have been OC'ed heavily, Who knows for how much more it will work even though its been tested before selling it.

There are not that many unused left,

QS = cheapest and should be possible for both 920 and 940. Only 940 is about double the prize.
OEM are not produced anymore and very difficult to come by. The only ones i see on ebay are used ones for OEM 920, no OEM possible for 940's.

From what i understand, if we OC the 920 we get same as the 940 with max oc?
Also have a QS now, but not sure if it has had a slight damage since day 1.
Who knows how good it is when you receive it? Its been tested, but do they benchmark it?
Mine works too, but only a bench would show its perhaps not perfect. Might even show up perfectly for some systems, just having the reduced speed as result.

Any good suggestions what to do?

Um, QS = Qualification Sample. They have been used heavily and are botched from the start usually run hotter etc etc.

I'd get a used OEM anyday.

Bro, You WILL NOT find a not used 920XM OEM - first thing, they have been relased in 2009 ! 5 years ago !

M bet is that those CPUs that they have were on the shelf for 2 year not used at all...

Secondly, it is better to buy from Upgradeyourmonkey - Buisness Seller than from a Private Overclocker Maniac who already might squeeze juices from the CPU....

I think this is your best bet if you want a good OEM.
