    Where (or Who) can I buy a X-Bracket for 7970M or 680M for M17x R2?

    I'm trying to find a 7970M or 680M X-Bracket for a M17x R2. From what I understand the 5870M bracket does not fit the 7970M, so that's a no go.

Does anyone know where I can buy one of these for either model, or someone that might be willing to sell one?

You could buy one from Eurocom, MXM-Upgrade or RJTech I believe
Could also try to see if there's one on ebay, you never know

Couldn't find on any of the sites or on any eBay. I'll shoot some emails to those guys and see what they can do.

    Thanks for the reply.

It's also worth pointing out that the "official" Dell support plate for the 680m has a heat spreader/thermal pad to cover one of the banks of vRam on the underside of the card - the bank that runs parallel to the longest edge of the card. If you use a Clevo X-Bracket, you will have to replace the screws on the heat sink with Clevo screws, because the threads on the Clevo support plate do not marry up with the Dell heat sink screws - it's a size thing! ;)

I'm not sure on how much joy you would get trying to obtain one from Dell, but, the part number for the 680m support plate is: 3MHHT nVidia support plate GTX 680m

Thanks guys! This has really helped me out.

I would've responded sooner but for some reason I wasn't emailed about the last few replies...
