I am looking for either i7 920xm or 940xm. I understand that some are available on ebay...

But anyone know where else I can get them?? Which sites are cheap??

I also see many people upgrading GPU after market.. Also wondering where people got them..

    Thanks for the help!

These are probably the top sellers for 920/940xm (ES) on eBay:

New Intel Mobile Core? i7-920XM Extreme 8M Turbo 3.2GHz | eBay (extremeprocessor)

    New Intel® Core? i7-920XM Processor 2.0GHz/8m/1333 | eBay (ShirleyFu1117)

    INTEL quad mobile i7 920XM 3.2GHZ 12M 1333Mhz KING! | eBay (laptopmonkey)

There are plenty of others, often cheaper, but these guys have been selling ES CPU's for a long time and to many NBR members. Be careful.

You can also find excellent deals from time to time in the NBR Marketplace, but they usually do not last for long.

    Some knowledge is useful.

Thank you for the quick reply.

Are ES chips reliable?? I mean like what are things I should be worried about?

I got mine from laptopmonkey. Cheap, and really fast dhl shipping (plus you get the i7 extreme sticker and a small flat solar calculator :D )

Oh ok. I have my eyes on a few sellers selling for $255-$265.. They seem to have really good ratings and they chips are QS as well.

Maybe any one of you guys had bad experience with them? I know I should be a bit suspicious as it is kind of too good to be true...

    Let me know. Thanks
