    I've done some research and am going to go for the GTX 780m for my Alienware m17xR3.

    I've watched a few illustrated guides and video tutorials and am confident in changing the parts as it seems fairly simple. Only problem now is knowing where I can get the particular card for a fair price. Ebay has been the only place I've seen that sells the card but I don't have a paypal account and quite frankly don't really trust buying things off ebay internationally.

    to be honest good luck finding one somewhere else. I haven't really seen them anywhere except on ebay or here in the the NBR marketplace. :(
