I was wondering do you guys prop your beast on your lap, or a table...Is it possible to sit on the couch and game pretty good? I am used to gaming on a desktop that has a dedicated flat surface furniture with a nice leather chair.....

I game exclusively on the couch with my laptop. Laid back, feet on a bench, pure relaxation :)

I game exclusively at my desk. Since I use it strictly as a desktop replacement...it's...well replaced my desktop ;)

I can't game on the couch, or laying down for that matter. I just don't find either of these positions comfortable.

I'm a traditional, seated-at-my-desk gamer. My laptop sits comfortably on its cooler there, i've got a nice comfortable chair (which is, subsequently, a VERY basic chair), and have plenty of lighting.

looks like we can be versatile gents, but next question is it possible to game with the touchpad, or is a mouse a better option and if thats the case, how the hell do you prop the mouse up when your on the couch?

Well, even though I don't game on the couch, I do use my work laptop on the couch and will say that personally I'd never use the touchpad for gaming. I suppose if you are playing some turn-based games it might be ok, but for anything else the touchpad is just not responsive enough.

However when I do use a mouse on the couch, I will get a 3-ring binder and put my mouse pad on it. Gives a pretty large/sturdy surface to play on. Maybe not ideally for any BF3 battles, but for general gaming it seems as though it would work out just fine.

I've pretty much claimed the kitchen table. Plenty of room there but the wooden seats are pretty uncomfortable. ;)

I'm moving in a few weeks though so I'll need to get myself a decent desk and chair to have a permanent home for my beast.

I use mine like a desktop. Plop it down on the desk and plug in a mouse, keyboard, monitor, external hard drive, speakers, and monitor. Oh and an air cooler. And printer. And USB Christmas lights I got with a Best Buy gift card. Basically all the ports on the thing are being used + the two USB 2.0 in the ExpressCard slot :p

Only differance is I swapped my M17x R2 chassis with a Silver one instead of the stock black I had. :D I rarely use the wireless keyboard. It's mainly for when I'm using the projector, which is located just above my stereo reciever.
