    Dell is your best bet.

Maybe clevo cards will work. I dont think any re-sellers have this card in stock.

    Try RJtech or mxmupgrade.

MXMUpgrade doesn't have the 580M in stock, and they don't carry the Radeon 6990 either.

No kidding? For one card? Not SLI? Lol, that's simply crazy... The 6990m from Clevo is waaaaaay cheaper.

I just called alienware twice... I was like "You mean that for two, right?"
They said no...i think there is a screw up in there system and the single is not out yet to buy just like the 6990 from dell, both are not available for upgrade for the M17x R3.

    I alos looked up RJtech

Most likely just Dell isn't going to support it. May be a few issues as they may have "modified" standards. Most of them do it so can't really be flame them about it.

Not true. I am actually looking to buy a 580m, since it is still the top Nvidia GPU (unless the 680m is out). But even if the 680m is out, it would be hellishly expensive.

I require an Nvidia chip since I use Cuda for video editing, otherwise I would get the 7970m.

wow...$800 for a gtx 580m? That's insane. 6990m is way more reasonable. I'm gonna have to bump up my asking price lol

That was a few months back man. At the time it was the only thing holding me back from getting one. Until I found one for $375.
