Didn't know where to ask this but I have the R1 and wondering if you guys disable the integrated 9400 card while playing games? Or leave it enabled?

    Thanks.

For quite some time I had the 9400 disabled in the BIOS. Left it like this for many months. Cant recall when, but at some point I re-enabled it. Its been like this ever since. Both enabled in the BIOS and no issues. Thermals are ok.

Try it with the 9400 enabled and see where you stand after a week. If you dont like what you are seeing in way of temps, try with it disabled.

FWIW, I have my power plan set to the default - balanced.

Thanks for the info BatBoy. Mine are both enabled as well and I don't have any problems or what so ever. The only thing is fans kick in and stay on while gaming the whole time. Maybe it's normal or maybe 9400 is causing the fans stay on because of the extra heat?

Yeah, I'd say its normal and very 'welcome'.

I'd much rather have the fans on constantly during gaming and doing their job than not coming on properly like the 1730. ;)

I have R2 but i can tell that it is normal for the fans to increse speed while gaming. (mine stays around 2800 and 3200 depending on the game etc..). At idle they stay well below 2000
