    Which M17x do I have?

    hi all i recently got my m17x from my college course an i'm trying to figure out which one it is as i am trying to get new themes for it an they are all saying they are incompatible, i've been getting them from: http://www.alienwarefxthemes.com/ I have tried everything from standard m17x to the r4, i have also attatched a pic of my keyboard as i noticed there seems to be a few different types thanks.

    The specs are:
    Alienware M17x 2014
    I7-4910Q quad core 2.9 ghz
    32gb of ram
    64bit windows 8.1
    880m Nvidia gpu

    You have the Alienware 17 R1, or known as the Alienware m17x R5 "Ranger" in some regions.
    The R4 never shipped with a Haswell or 800m GPU.

    Yup that's an Alienware 17 R5 ranger. Also sometimes called R1 but it's the 5th iteration of alienware.

    As confirmed above, that's a AW17 R1. aka: Ranger
    The same one I have, the keyboard gave her in.
    Also, it was quite common for them to have the Windows 8 OS installed.
