buy name brand, gskill, kingston, ocz, trancend are all good. Dell and lots of OEMs use ADATA ram as well so they're probally safe too. The two in there I would avoid are buffalo and Dolphin. The Hyper-x Kingston obvisully isn't an option since they don't offer 4GB Sodimm capacities yet.

For what you need, I'd go with either G.Skill SO-DIMM 8 GB DDR3-1333 Kit or OCZ SO-DIMM 8 GB DDR3-1333 Kit. Your current config will have 2x2GB sticks, so both will need to be replaced.

The G.Skill memory is slightly cheaper and they appear to have more in stock, so it may be the better option. Both are DDR3-1333, and both have CL9 timing, which means they're effectively the same.

I really appreciate your help. I was confused about the CL timing, but now I know for which to go for, the G.Skill SO-DIMM 8 GB DDR3-1333 Kit as it is cheaper, same spec and you both recommend the brand.
