Which external monitor to use with our R3? 24" for gaming without any movies expected use. Personal experiences and web links appreciated.

I use my 27" iMac @ 2560x1440 connected via mini display port (Mdp) to mdp cable. It's beautiful. :)

    Cheers,

Don't cheap out. Buy a nice IPS panel.

Dell U2410 and HP ZR24W both got great reviews, from the last time I researched these. I personally have an HP 2475w which I like very much. All are in the $400-600 range, but are worth it.

Just recently hooked up an Alienware AW2310 to my M17-RX3, using the HDMI out on the laptop to HDMI in on the monitor.

Display is very nice, 1920x1080, but stuck at 60HZ, limitation of HDMI and cant run this monitor in it's full glory at 120HZ, due to the lack of DualLink-DVI OUT port on the laptop.

Still though its nice, when I was gaming on the built in 17' display I had to constantly lean into the display to see well, not anymore.
