I just recently re pasted my gpu with AS5 and wanted to try out furmark. Its actually my first time using the program so I really didn't know what I was doing beside changing to my native resolution with 4x MSAA. Did a 15 min burn in test and after within around 6 min my screen just randomly turns white. I try to escape but wouldn't let me so I had no choice but to force shut down it.

Id that normal? Oh and I OC my 460m too 800/1600/1500.
Im going to try it out without OC for the time being.

Could be overheating. What are your temps like?

I notice once it hits to 70c thats when the white screen happens.
anyway I downclocked my gpu back to its default and this is the result.

Hmm...70C is pretty good...not overheating. Could be a faulty card, although Furmark stresses the card quite a bit. Does this happen while playing any games?

Edit: Not an expert in overclocking but it could be an unstable OC as well.

during gaming esp with high setting ive been playing around 60~65 for about a good hour now. And this is with OC. So overall gaming, my temp is pretty good but when I try furmark with OC, I end up getting a white screen once I hit 70c.

that core clock shouldn't stress the card to much. Try lowering the memory clock and see what happens? Just a thought. :)

Ill definitely try it out! any suggestion though? I based mine off of someone else from a different thread so yeah haha.

Oh and just to make sure "xxx/xxx/xxx" the first is core, second is shadow, and third is memory right? Just want to make sure since its my first time ever attempting to OC my GPU :p

try going up like 25mhz increments from the baseclock and when it crashes go back to the last good clock and go from there. I will however tell you that I ran quite a bit of benches and games at my near max overclock, and now the card isn't stable at that level anymore. So over-clock at your own risk.

Edit: Could try this clock and see what happens. no quite as demanding :) 800/1600/1480.

Ahh thank you so much for the help. I definitely try that out and see if it makes a difference. Honestly when im gaming, its fine. Temp dose not go pass 65 esp with high settings. Its only when I use furmark Ive been getting problems. But again Ill try it out right now!

Furmark is a pretty intense application, especially for laptops....I personally don't use it as I believe it stresses the laptop components too much.

IMO if it works for you in game after extensive periods, it is fine.
