This is not a major issue however it's extraordinarily annoying. When I boot my R3, roughly 40% of the time, the AERO features aren't operational and a reboot fixes it. What gives?

I already have the OSD application installed from the Dell website.

Understand, but I did a new install with an SSD and when I did I downloaded the drivers and apps from the Dell website, so I already have that version installed.

I'd say reinstall vid drivers, making sure you do it perfectly and by the book. I had that problem, and either new or reinstalled drivers always did the trick.

In addition, someone posted this handy little batch file that fixes aero. See if you can google Alienware aero fix. (I'm on iPhone now)

My Aero sometimes gets disabled when I am running on the integrated GPU. It may happen 1 or 2 times out of 10.
I followed the driver install guide to a T and recently clean installed the 12.3 drivers over the Dell drivers. So I would say it is probably some issue with changing the IGP and/or loading up OSD or AlienFX because it changes from Aero to non-aero several seconds after seeing my desktop or switching my active GPU. Nonetheless, for me a quick solution has been logging off the computer and logging back in.

I think it has to to with the AMD drivers. I used to have that issue a while back on the older drivers, but as I've updated to the latest ones every once in a while the stability seems to be finally getting better. What AMD drivers are you running? I think im running on 12.4 drivers and they have been rock solid so far. :)

    I'm running 8.961.0.0 and I'm pretty sure my CCC is 12.4, version is 2012 0405 2205 37728.

When I did the new install of the SSD I did it following the guide posted on here so that shouldn't be the issue either.
