    Why does my new AW17 beep

    Hi all

    Recently got an replace aw17 from dell, 2 month old. It started to beep every now and then, like 20min in between beeps. Why ?
    Sounds like its comming from the left side of the laptop, and its only 1 beep at a time hmm..

    Yea computer works fine. Just beeps some times.. Recently updated bios to newest from dell. But I think the sound was there before aswell. I will contact dell about it :)

    Have you attempted a reload of Windows yet? Sounds more like a software issue to me then a hardware issue....but I could be wrong. If it is a motherboard then I hope the techs they send you are better then the ones they sent me :p lol.....

    Let us know what they say, I am curious what would cause this.

    No I just installed win 8.1 when I got it :) just recently started beeping..

    The tech guy they send me the other times ive delt with them was great though :p!

    Let me guess... You had Windows 7 from the factory?

    It's probably a BIOS issue. ;) Try updating it again.

    No win 8.1 came from dell and installed it :) I did the A13 bios update a week ago or something :p havnt had the time to contact dell yet.. This month it just stressfull .. :)

    You reinstalled the OS? Why did you do that? You shouldn't tamper with things if they're working... :(

    BIOS A14 has been released. Try downloading that.

    Did the reinstall because I bought an samsung 850series ssd to put windows on :)
