    Why no blu ray burner?

    Just curious, but why doesn't the M17x, or any of the alienwares, have a blu ray burner? every respectable gaming laptop has that option, except for alienware. What gives?

    mine has a slot loading bluray burner specs in sign! so they do come with bluray burners lol

    The Sata burner, Or Blu Ray burner is Extremely Expensive all things considered. I wouldn't imagine most people would be willing to pay that for a Blu RAy Burner

    With the exception of the M11x (no ODD), they do have that option - if you aren't seeing it on the configuration section of the Dell site its most likely due to lack of stock. This has happened before on occasion with other parts/options.
