I was thinking about getting one.
    I can get an Intel ultimate N 6200 for $18 or a 6300 for $24

I have an Dell Wireless1520 802.11n right now.

Sorry if this has been done already, just wanted to get some opinions

    Thanks all

I know the Intel 6300 has 3 antennas, will the M17X use all 3?

Yes it will use all 3. I have found my 6300N to have shorter range than my Dell 1502 even though it's 3 antennas vs 2... have the same issues with a couple of different 6300N cards I've tried (unsure if anybody else has the same issues).
