Some may remember my last thread on this problem, but even after a fresh install on my new SSD, the wifi card still doesn't work sometimes. I will turn the laptop on and it acts like there isn't a card installed, but after putting the laptop to sleep and turning it back on, it works. It is just getting annoying having to do that so much. I've installed the drivers off of dells website and intels. What driver should I try? A link would be nice. :)
And Is there any way I should uninstall and reinstall the drivers like with driver sweeper or anything? Boot into safe mode? I did disable the function for it to be put to sleep, btw. It's the Intel 6300 aftermarket. Thanks for any help.

It sounds more like bad connection in the hardware to me than a software issue. You should make sure the card is properly inserted and no dust, dirt etc is in between the connectors.

Yeah, I've opened this laptop up plenty to make sure it's seated correctly and wires in the right spot and whatnot. Sometimes it works, and when it doesn't, I have to put the computer to sleep and start it back up. I would have though it to be a driver issue?
    Not sure, though.

I think it is a faulty card if it is properly seated etc, do you have warranty on the card? You should try to get a new one from the warranty.

I could RMA it to Newegg, I guess. Didn't want to have to though. I will try and do that then. Thanks, Simplifies.

Did you check the NVIDIA cntrol panel under ETHERNET CONFIGURATION and make sure that DEVICE SLEEP ON DISCONNECT is DISABLED? This setting if enabled will cause symptoms you descirbe!

Browse a few pages back in the technical problems thread and check my post about WiFi when attempting a fresh Windows install or I'll post here this evening after work if you don't find it :)

    Cheers
