Can anyone run a benchmark test in m17x r2 with 680m? I'm interested if it packs the same punch as other laptops with 680m.

look at my sig for benchmark. This is at 980/2400 OC with one of slv7's older vbios. As for stock performance, i'd say it's around 6k. can't exactly recall

That would be a no. The 330W PSU doesn't give enough juice to handle an overclocked XM CPU and a crossfire/SLI getup. It looks like only the 2x240 PSU mod is enough to handle that configuration.

680m sli doesn't work at m17xr2, only 7970m crossfirex with 2X240 PSU mod!

I am about to follow this path by swapping the 680m in my clevo (see sig) and putting it into the m17xr2. Can anyone post there bios used in the clevo 4gb that works. My understanding is that its pretty much plugnplay.
Also, heard issues with 920/940 xm cpu. Should I be ok with 840qm and has anyone had issues with the screen(white bleach) or other anomalies? Just want to preserve my m17xr2 excellent screen.

I will update this mid sept when back from holidays. Will be interesting as rjtech bios in 7970m did not work with m17xr2 so hoping it does with clevo p170hm.

I'm using a 7970m on my r2 with rjtech vbios. It works, but the voltage is stuck at .975v. Other than that it works just fine.
