    Hey!

So I, like many of you, am anxiously awaiting the arrival of ES:5, Skyrim.

My current computer (not the one in the signature) isn't capable of running Skyrim, and while I have a PS3, I really want the PC version of Skyrim for modding purposes, etc.

So my question is, will the computer in my signature run Skyrim well (30+ fps) on max settings? Anything less would just defeat the purpose.

    Thanks in advance!

P.S. I know they haven't released the official system preq's yet-- but what would your opinion be?

I think it should.. But we won't know until specs are released..

There will probably be high res texture mods on Skyrim that will make playing at the best settings less likely, but since it will play smoothly on PS3/360 I think our GPUs should be able to handle it..

I'm sure the system in your signature will run Skyrim fine. I asked this question recently in the Skyrim thread located in the gaming forum and I got a very helpful answer:

You have a 6990m (best mobile gpu) and you don't think you can run Skyrim on at least 40fps ultra max fully deck out?

PC games at high res + dx11 tesselation takes ALOT of power.

Though the 6990 should be able to for sure play on at least high on 30+ fps.

    No THE best :D
6990M is getting higher fps than the 580M in most games, confirmation remains to be seen once people start sharing their results :)

Nope Mythologic has stated that the 6990m is 2 to 3% faster than the 580m, so there  sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Don't judge me for my name ;)

I believe it was stock, and no place online has listed the 580m as better than the 6990m BELIEVE IT!

However if I had the money, I would go with the 580m over the 6990m if it make you better, and that the honest truth coming from a guy name _Cheesy_

They win hand down in price and performance, even if the 6990m was slower than the 580m, the cough $350 more Nvidia card is not better than AMD for that price. Well that how much it is on Alienware system, for Sager about $200 more.

Maybe the UK is different, I don't know much about UK price point, but it a big sum of money over here in the U.S.
