I just wanted to know if you can get a 1TB drive in the R2. I know they are a little thicker then a 750 or smaller drive.

It fits an R2, but there's a tiny piece of the laptop you've got to break off. Not a big deal at all. I've been running it for about two months now.

What is the tiny piece of plastic you have to break off?

I would like a confirmation as well if it fits the R3 second hard drive as well. If so I rather get that then 750gb one.

If you look at the 2nd Hard drive bay, there's a little 'L' shaped piece that would keep a 12.5mm drive from fitting properly. That's what has to be broken off.

The R3 won't accept a 12.5mm drive. The bottom cover won't go on.
