From 1st glance at the link and the title. Yep the info there is correct and that ram will be suitable for your machine.

What you will be looking out for is 4GB or 2GB which ever size you want to purchase. I'm assuming 2 sticks of 4GB in your case.

    So yeh 4GB sodimm DDR3 1333Mhz (PC3 10666),

    Cheers.

I would say this IS the recommended specification, you should be good, if unsure ask the seller if he knows of the RAM working in the M17x, he should know that, but i'm positive you already found the right thing. BTW. In my laptop are also Hynix 2x2GB and they look exactly the same like the pic, so i assume this is SODIMM for laptops, and the 10666 1333Mhz specification described i also have on them.

Also it says further for mobile GM45 PM45,PM55 GM55 chipset , we have the PM55 chipset afaik.

I did ask the seller and he said i could only have 4GB total .. ie 2 x 2GB .
I knew this was wrong but it didnt fill me with confidence :)

    Thanks

The seller is obviously not in the picture, as you know maybe by yourself you are able to upgrade your RAM on the dell configuration site to 8GB (which is the max. afaik with 2 slots), so that should be out of question. You might want to try another seller that knows about the things he is selling.

lol @ the seller. yea any 204 pin ddr3 will fit in your machine. i wouldn't buy from him just beacuse he is an idiot. i prefer OCZ if you want a recommendation. ive used it in all my laptops for the last 2years and i haven't had any issues except one and they replaced the bad stick within 3 days.
